Our Favorite Chicago Area Mom Bloggers

As a Naperville kid’s dentist, we’ve gotten to know a lot of moms and many of our team members are moms themselves. So, we have the inside scoop on the best Chicago mom bloggers. From fashion and lifestyle-focused bloggers to those sharing helpful parenting hacks, we’re highlighting a few of our favorites:

Happily Ever Natural

Michelle Thames of Happily Ever Natural is one of the best Chicago bloggers in our book. She’s a wife, mom, beauty aficionado and marketing professional from Chicago who started her blog as a way to connect with the natural hair community. You’ll find posts on an array of topics, including parenting, lifestyle, travel, beauty and fashion. Michelle is all about empowering other women and moms, which is something we can get behind. You can also check out her Instagram: @naturalista86.

Second City Mom

Chicago mom blogger Leyla shares her adventures with her three kids and husband in Chicago and, sometimes, around the world on Second City Mom. She talks honestly about being a working mom with all of its joys and struggles, as well as travel, events, style and more. She also has great ideas for what to do in the city with her extensive Chicago Guide. Her Instagram is top-notch and features a beautifully curated collection of photos of Chicago, her family and daily life.

Keeping it Lovely

Nicole Balch is another of the best Chicago bloggers. The mom and designer’s blog, Keeping it Lovely, covers a mixture of topics, including parenting and lifestyle. However, we absolutely love her posts about renovating her Victorian home in Oak Park. She is so talented and you may even find ideas for your own home. Her Instagram @makingitlovely is just as dreamy as her blog.

The Branch Blog

Okay, so technically, The Branch is a Naperville moms group that’s branching out to other communities and not one of the individual mommy bloggers in Chicago. However, the group’s blog is so helpful for parents and covers a ton of useful topics, including ideas for keeping kids entertained, parenting advice, talking to kids about diversity, information on Chicagoland and more.

Baby Sideburns

Karen Alpert, the blogger behind Baby Sideburns, is unbelievably hilarious with her completely honest take on parenting. The Chicago mom blogger also happens to be a New York Times bestseller with several books. While she offers helpful tips and ideas, we love her lighthearted, funny posts and stories. Follow her on Instagram @babysideburns

Clark and Stone

Ceta Walters is another of the awesome Chicago mom influencers. Ceta started her blog Clark and Stone after becoming a mom and feeling as if she had lost her sense of self. Through her blog, she started to realize motherhood doesn’t mean you can’t make yourself a priority. Her posts cover a range of topics, including style, travel, Chicago, motherhood and fighting breast cancer. She’s as inspiring as she is stylish. Follow her on Instagram @clarkandstone.

Helen Berkun

Helen Berkun is a Chicago lifestyle blogger and influencer who blogs on her website about style, parenting, home, family and travel. You’ll find tips for things like traveling with kids to setting the perfect tablescape. Her Instagram chronicles her glamorous life. If you need some style inspiration, either for yourself or your littles, be sure to check it out at @helen_berkun.
