Pediatric Dental Assistant-Entry and High Level

Our practice is a technology-based office with only the very best for our patients and staff! The office is organized, detailed oriented, and truly state of the art! We are currently using Curve Hero for our dental software and additional technologies throughout the office.

Responsibilities include but are limited to:

  • Helping keep smiles healthy for life by thoroughly explaining and teaching patients and parents how to properly brush and care for little mouths!
  • Assisting Doctor with patients that may have dental anxieties or caring for those with medical conditions with the upmost compassion and patience.
  • We are looking for experience in dentistry so that the transition into this role is seamless and rewarding.
  • Must be certified in coronal polishing and pit and fissure sealants.

  • Answering phones, scheduling patients for various procedures all while following protocols for Perfect Day scheduling, contacting insurances to collect breakdown of benefits

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric
    environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Experience

  • 1 + years of experience in a dental pediatric setting
  • 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable

Required

  • Dolphin or other dental software experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions ( or in person) periodically throughout the year

Expected Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday with 2 Saturdays per month. (Friday off when you are scheduled on Saturday!)

  • Greet and welcome patients as they enter the office to create a great
    first impression of our team
  • Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking
    office mail and email, communicating with patients and insurance
    companies
  • Utilize Dolphin for patient scheduling and records
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers in the office
  • File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verification of benefits and explanation of coverage
  • Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivables
  • Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients
  • Partner with the providers and team to implement our systems to optimize office potential
